INVITATION FOR BIDS
Subject: Construction of Aminiya School 8 storey building
1. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Education (the Employer), invites bids from local and foreign Contractors for the Construction of Aminiya School 8 storey building.
2. Commencing on 1st April 2014, only a listed member of the National Contractors Registry will be eligible to participate in this tender. Only the contractors who has been qualified for GC01 grade 1 and 2 will be eligible to participate.
3. Tender Documents for the project may be obtained from Tender Evaluation Section of Ministry of Finance and Treasury, from 7th September 2014 to 25th September 2014 between 0830 hrs and 1430 hrs on all working days, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MVR 500.00 (Five Hundred).

5. The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 75,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Maldivian Rufiyaa) which shall be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the Bid. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.
6 Pre-bid meetings will be held on 30th September 2014 (Tuesday) Maldivian time at the Tender Evaluation Section meeting room, Ministry of Finance and Treasury.
7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified above in Clause 3 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1100 hrs Maldivian time on 16th October 2014 (Thursday), at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend.
