Payments denominated in USD being paid in MVR

Reference is made to our announcement number (IUL)220-TEF/01/2011/72 dated 6 September 2011.

The exchange rate to be used in making payments of taxes and other payments denominated in USD that can be paid in MVR has been changed from the weekly exchange rate published by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) to the fixed exchange rate of MVR15.42 (Fifteen Rufiyaa and Forty Two Laari) per USD. This policy shall be effective from 1 September 2014.
