Irrigation Technician

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT
• Degree or MNQF Level 7 Qualification in relevant field with minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Advanced Diploma or MNQF Level 6 Qualification in relevant field with minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field.

OVERALL SCOPE
Responsible for providing technical advice and support to implementation works carried out in Landscaping projects.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Prepare material details required for implementation of the proposed irrigation/plumbing design.
• Guide procurement team during irrigation material approval stages.
• Observation and inspection of project during installation process to assure quality in works.
• Troubleshoot and replace any faulty parts.
• Conduct routine maintenance check of irrigation systems.
• Inspection of tools and equipment for safety and mechanical defects and ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
• Provide technical support during construction / operations of system.
• Ensure the site quality meet the required quality standard.
• Prepare & maintain all records of project related documents.
• Track the status/progress of irrigation projects and prepare reports accordingly.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and operation of irrigation systems.
• Ability to perform irrigation tasks such as operate timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Knowledge of soil, vegetation, and climate.
• Knowledge of methods and techniques of maintaining tools and equipment.
• Should be familiar with Microsoft office package/CAD.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to manage and instruct the other team members.
• Should be able to work as an individual and as a flexible team player.
• Should be able to work through flexible hours.

SALARY PACKAGE
Negotiable based on qualification and experience.
