INTRODUCTION

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is an ISO and OHSAS Certified multi-disciplinary Engineering and Manufacturing organization mainly involves in providing Utility and Manufacturing related products and services to the Maldives.

The objective of this assignment is to invite Audit firms registered with Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) as Public Interest Entity Auditors (PIE) for the external audit service of Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd for a period of 2 years starting from 2021.

AUDITING STANDARDS

The financial statement audit shall be carried out in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs). And the audit shall be carried out to address the scope of service discussed below. Additionally, other pronouncements of International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) of IFAC may be used by the audit firm as appropriate to deliver various parts of the scope of service.

Scope of Works

The scope of the audit service shall include the following.

• Carry out audit of financial statements of MWSC for a period of 2 years starting from 2021.
• Carry within the scope of the external audit, appropriate work;

1. To produce a report to the Auditor General on Internal Control over Financial Reporting and on Compliance and Other Matters based on an Audit of Financial Statements.
2. To report in the Management letter:

• Key internal control weaknesses;
• Fraud risks;

• An Agreed-upon Procedures engagement in accordance with International Standard on Related Services (ISRS) 4400 in respect to compliance with Corporate Governance Code of the Privatization and Corporatization Board

Eligibility Criteria

• The bidder (Audit firm) for this audit service shall be an Audit Firm registered with Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) of the Maldives as a Public Interest Entity Auditor (PIE).

Registration

To be registered in the tendering process, interested firms shall provide their company profile and following information to [email protected], not later than 24^th January 2022, 14:00 Hrs.

• Company profile with Company address and Contact details.
• Past experience with references.
• Registration certificate with Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) as a Public Interest Entity Auditor
• Apart from above, Service providers may submit any documents, information that may be necessary to prove their qualification for the work.
