Position: DevOps Engineer

Required No: 01

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension.

Job Requirement:

• 2+ years of experience in managing/administering Linux based server systems.
• Must be able to work off-duty and late hours when and where necessary (i.e., during downtimes when new developments are released)
• Preference will be given to candidates with:
  • Extensive hands-on experience with MySQL in a large scale 24x7 production environment with millions of records
  • Experience in designing databases (with proven understanding of logical and physical database designs & standards)
  • Experience in data warehouse solutions
  • Experience in programming/scripting in languages such as PHP
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar

Job Responsibilities:

• Build, setup and maintain dev tools and dev infrastructure.
• Automate release processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
• Implement database scaling & performance monitoring.
• Perform system and database upgrades & patches.
• Design and implementation of backup and data recovery strategy.
• Review application and database design for compliance.
• Assist in app development, debugging, and optimization.
• Identify & fix technical problems and ensure safety and security of the systems

Worksite and working hours:

• Flexible working hours (but should be generally available during official working hours) 
• Not required to be stationed at office

Remuneration:

Gross pay between MVR 20,000 – MVR 30,000 depending on the qualification and experience.
