Therapy Assistant

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT

• BA/BS in, occupational therapy, social work, psychology, education or counseling. Or a Diploma in Behavior Science field with two years of work experience with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills in word processing and on line communication.
• Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Assists professional staff in the implementation of established therapeutic treatment programs ; serves as a member of the therapeutic treatment team to facilitate change in the patient’s behavior
• Oversees and supports patients to take part in planned recreational and social programs.
• Teaches patients basic skills of daily living habits such as cleanliness, personal hygiene, dressing, eating, etc.
• To facilitate or assist individual and group sessions either with the therapist or under the direction of the therapist
• To provide feedback to the therapist on the progress of the therapy programme where the Therapy Assistant is delivering the programme.
• To priorities own workload, work independently and use own initiative to complete day to day tasks.
• To be receptive to and deliver information which requires sensitivity, diplomacy and confidentiality

SALARY PACKAGE:

• Basic Salary: MVR 6295.00
• Service Allowance: MVR 2500.00
• Risk Allowance: MVR 100.00 per day attended
• Supporting Core Allowance: MVR 900.00
