REQUEST FOR BIDS

Goods

(One-Envelope Bidding Process)

1. The Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives Learning and Measurement Advancement Project - LAMP (P172631, RE), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the provision of  personal protection equipment (PPE) for 1500 support staff of 212 government schools.
2. The Ministry of Education of the Maldives now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders to deliver the personal protective equipment (PPE) within 1 month of contract signing.
3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information by writing to [email protected], and inspect the bidding document before 14:00 of 20^th October 2021 (Wednesday).
5. The bidding document in English may be downloaded by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and from the Ministry of Education’s website (https://www.moe.gov.mv) free of charge. The document will be sent electronically. The Latest information related to the bid will be downloadable and updated on the Ministry’s website (https://www.moe.gov.mv).
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10^th November 2021 (Wednesday) 13:00 Maldives Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 10^th November 2021 (Wednesday) 13:00 Maldives Time. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of: MVR 30,000.00 or USD 1,945.00
