MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Graduate / Diploma in a relevant field and recognized work in the area of Occupational Health and Safety and or other closely related discipline.
Over 10 years of work experience in a related field with minimum eight (8) years of experience in occupational health, safety and Trainings.
OVERALL SCOPE
Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing RACL safety & security policies and ensures their implementation in company operations. Ensure the company is in compliance and adheres to Aviation and other local authority guidelines.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Ensure that safety and security management has the same or higher priority level throughout RACL as any other management and operational processes; Ensuring the safety and security records are available and up-to-date.
- Responsible for designing and implementing safety and security policies and ensures their implementation in company operations.
- Manage all aspects of the RACL’s SMS, including:
- Monitoring the effectiveness of SMS;
- Initiating corrective actions when necessary;
- Providing safety reports on SMS performance on periodic basis;
- Providing safety advice to MD and Board of Directors and proposing corrective actions on safety and security related-issues as needed;
- Analyse all departments and make sure that they are adhering to company safety and security policies.
- Advice and recommend updates of RACL Airport operations, maintenance, and safety and security policies, and procedures in order to maintain safe operating and working conditions, eliminate hazards and provides for changes in safety and security regulations and standards.
- Conducts safety and security audits and inspections of all Airport facilities and equipment and recommends procedures to correct violations or enhance safety.
- Establishes, coordinates and conducts safety and security training programs to prevent or reduce occupational and passenger injuries and to prevent damage to Airports facilities and equipment.
- Reviews plans and specifications for Airport project modifications, equipment purchases, to ensure compliance with prevailing safety and security standards and safe operations and maintenance requirements.
- Responsible for updating and implementation of the RACL safety and security Program Plan and assuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Maintains records of employee participation in health, safety, security and related training programs.
- Executes analyses with relevant data to support safety and security-related programs and trends.
- Monitors all applicable Standard Operating Policies (SOP’s) in the performance of their responsibilities.
- Liaise with relevant government authorities as and when required specific to Safety and Security measures.
SALARY PACKAGE:
Basic Salary MVR 16,000
Daily Allowance of MVR 400 per day
