MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate / Certifications on Aviation.

OVERALL SCOPE

Responsible to establish and implement airport operational policies and procedures for safe and reliable operation of all Airports to ensure that the operations are set to achieve the effective excellence in the Industry.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 25 years of extensive knowledge of airport operations and development including familiarity of Civil Aviation Regulations.
  • Minimum 15 years of senior management experience on multi-located and diverse team in an airport operation setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible to oversee all areas of airport operations covering the area of operations and safety.
  2. Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s processes and procedures including the effective use of technology to ensure efficient operations of the company’s activities.
  3. Ensure that overall airports operations meet company standard, policies and procedures and confirm with aviation regulatory requirements set by Maldivian Civil Aviation Authority.
  4. Ensure high priority to delivering service excellence that is in line with Quality Assurance standards.
  5. Lead, motivate and create a good working environment that promotes and cultivates changes and openness within the team.
  6. Ensure the airport facilities are appropriate working environment and there are sufficient competent personnel for carrying out ground handling function efficiently. 
  7. Consult the Managing Director and Team whenever deficiencies emerge which requires attention in respect of finance and operational issues.
  8. Ensure the ground handling procedures are established and published within the organization for compliance with applicable regulations and company requirements.
  9.  Ensure that contracts are established for ground handling functions, which are contracted by other organizations.
  10. Assuring the quality and safety of all ground operations and services.
  11. Promoting an environmentally and safety conscious culture by ensuring environmental and safety risks are identified, assessed and attended
  12. Ensure that all Airports compliance with GOM laws and CAA regulations and procedures
  13. Implement guidelines and procedures for the efficient functioning of airport services of and ensure that the activities are carried out as per civil aviation guidelines and in line with company strategies.
  14. Ensuring good relations and communications are established within all departments.
  15. Provide leadership and guidance on organisational reporting and monitoring, particularly to the Managing Director and Board Directors as and when required.
  16. Ensure the company drives a customer focused culture by overseeing the customer experience strategy and monitor the airports service quality results to enhance the airports standing.
  17. Responsible to develop and implementation of performance frameworks such as Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
