INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Environment (MoEnv) has received financial assistance from Global Environment Facility (GEF) for the implementation of Strengthening Low Carbon Energy Island Strategies (LCEI) project. This project is administered by the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the Maldives through energy efficiency in the building sector.

The LCEI Project is designed with a goal of market transformation for energy efficient technologies in buildings and the built environment in the Maldives; and promotion of energy efficiency investments in buildings. The project intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the project for the contract “Financial Audit of LCEI Project” from 01^st January 2019 to 30^th November 2021.

The EOI requested by Ministry’s Advertisement No. (IUL)438-CCD/438/2020/48 dated 19^th February 2020 has been cancelled due to insufficient interest. Thus Ministry re-invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified auditing firms to submit proposals according to the TOR, available on the Ministry of Environment website www.environment.gov.mv for downloading. It is also attached with this advertisement. The Ministry shall not be liable for any information not received by the Bidder. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to verify the website for the latest information related to this bid.

Bid Validity and Bid Opening

Bids shall be valid for a period of 60 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Environment at the address given below, on or before 1100 hours Maldivian Time on 24^th March 2020 at which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.

Proposals must be addressed as below

“Do not Open Before 24^th March 2020 at 11:00 – Financial Audit of LCEI Project” and the submitting party’s name and address
