The Government of Maldives (GoM) has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Maldives Public Financial Management Systems Strengthening Project (PSSP), and part of the proceeds of this credit is being used towards payments under the contract for an Internal Audit Specialist for the PSSP implemented by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The Ministry of Finance, cancel the Expressions of Interest (EoI) for the reference number (IUL)13-PFMU/13/2019/163 (August 6, 2019) and now re-invites interested eligible individuals to submit their Expressions of Interest (EoI).
The Internal Audit Specialist will be required to assist MoF to achieve the MoF objectives relating to the successful implementation of accounting, reporting and internal audit tasks.
The Candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience
I. Member of a IFAC recognized professional accounting body such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or any other equivalent professional accountancy qualification and
II. Minimum 03 years’ experience in the field of audit & assurance or accounting and
III. Minimum 2 years’ experience in senior management positions and
IV. Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
V. Knowledge of the Public Finance Law and Public Finance Regulations will be an added advantage.
VI. Analytical ability and ability to reflect on one's own work as well as the wider consequences of financial decisions and
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Dhivehi Languages
The Ministry of Finance, now invites interested eligible individuals to submit their Expressions of Interest (EoI). Interested candidates must provide a CV including information that demonstrates that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.)
The individual will be selected based on the qualification and experience, in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD loans and IDA credits and grants by World Bank Borrowers, of July 2016, Revised November 2017 and August 2018.
Successful candidate will be paid an all-inclusive monthly fee by the project in the range of USD 1,945.00 to USD 2,269.00 equivalent in Maldivian Rufiyaa, depending on qualification and experience.
The services are required for a period of 2 years, which includes an initial probationary period of 6 months
