The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) operating the Velana International Airport (VIA) in Hulhule Island invited reputed insurance firms to submit insurance proposals/bids in respect to insurances required for VIA for the year 2020 (tender notice no:  116-F3/IL/2019/57 dated 31^st July 2019). However, as MACL did not receive a satisfactory response to it, the tender has been annulled.

MACL re-invites for a second time reputed insurance firms to submit insurance proposals/bids in respect to insurances required for VIA for the year 2020. The required insurances for VIA are ‘All Risk & Business Interruption’ insurance, ‘Airport Aviation Liability’ insurance and ‘Terrorism’ insurance. .

The international insurance/re-insurance firms of the bidder shall have a minimum Standard and Poor (S&P) credit rating of “BBB” in order for the bid to be responsive.

Interested insurance firms shall Register in the bidding by an expression of interest by post, fax or email ([email protected]) on or before 2359hrs of 9^th October 2019, Wednesday. The Tender Document will be distributed to all the Registered Parties via email.

Bids in compliance with the details and requirements stated in the Tender Document shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall be delivered to the address in the Tender Document on or before 1300hrs of 28^th October 2019, Monday. Late bids will be rejected as non-responsive.

The bid from each bidder will be opened at sharp 1300hrs of 28^th October 2019, Monday, in MACL Corporate Office Building at VIA, in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend.

Evaluation of the bids will be performed after which MACL will deliberate and finalize the award.
