Second Announcement of Consultancy Services for conducting detailed investigations for establishing flood mitigation measures in Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo, Addu City

Due to lack of number of eligible parties and revision of the terms of reference, the advertisement no. (IUL)438-ENV/438/2019/110 has been cancelled.

The Ministry of Environment intends procuring consultancy services for conducting detailed investigations for the purpose of establishing flood mitigation measures in Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo, Addu City.

The Terms of Reference (TOR) for the consulting services is available on the Ministry’s website www.environment.gov.mv. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 3^rd September 2019 at 10:00 hours in the Ministry  of Environment where interested consultants may obtain further information. All bidders must register for this bid via email before 2:00 pm of 9^h September 2019. For registration, company name, company registration number, contact number and a contact email address must be sent to the email address below.

The specific tasks associated with this assignment are detailed in the TOR and includes the following:

• Undertake literature review of existing information available on flood hazard risks of Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo, Addu City.
• Undertake data collection relevant to the assignment.
• Undertake a feasibility study to determine the most appropriate drainage option for the island.
• Undertake the Environmental Impact Assessment process for the selected, most feasible drainage option for the island. 
• Develop detailed engineering designs and drawings to the selected, most feasible drainage option for the island.
• Prepare draft tender documents for the construction of the proposed drainage option for the island.

The Ministry of Environment now invites eligible consulting teams/firms to submit their expression of interests. Staffing requirement details for the consultancy services are specified in the TOR.  Interested consulting teams/firms should submit their Expression of Interests inclusive of GST price quoted separately if applicable, with a copy of the GST registration certificate.

Proposals must be delivered marked as confidential and titled “Proposal for conducting of detailed investigations for establishing flood mitigation measures in Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo, Addu City” to the address below at or before 10^th September 2019 at 12:00 hours. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 12:00 hours local time on 10^th September 2019.
