Provision of  Water Supply and Sewerage Facilities in the Islands

Request for Expressions of Interest: Consultant

The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE) is seeking to hire Two (02) Consulting Engineers to Monitor and Supervise the Implementation of Civil Works for the Water Supply and Sewerage Projects.

The objective of this assignment is to regularly monitor & supervise the works   and assure that they comply   with the contract standards and regulations.

To be eligible for the position the individual is expected to demonstrate the following:

a) Minimum undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and/or  Environmental Engineering

b) At least 5 years’ experience in water supply and sewerage design, implementation and project management.

c) Sound knowledge and practical experience in computer aided design software such as AutoCAD/ applications will be an added advantage.

d) Work Experience in Maldives in the area of water supply and sewerage design, implementation and project management will be an added advantage.

Should have strong leadership, management and communication skills in presenting, discussing and resolving difficult issues and have ability to work efficiently and effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

The successful individual must be willing to work for extended periods without direct supervision and travel routinely to islands within the catchment.

In addition, the individual’s reputation of integrity and impartiality routed in independent from third parties shall be considered.

Successful individual will be paid a remuneration in the range of MVR 25,000 to MVR 30,000 depending on their qualifications and experience.

Successful individual will be hired for a period of Twenty Four (24) months. The individual must be available to commence the services in September 2015.
