INVITATION FOR BIDS

Design and Build Basis for Water Supply Network, Water Storage Tanks and Reverse Osmosis Plant and Allied Works based on Integrated Water Resources Management approach in Th. Thimarafushi, Maldives.

1- The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Environment and Energy (the Employer), has decided to extend the deadline of registration to submit bids for the subjected project (Invitation Ref No. (IUL)13-K/13/2015/125) to 1330 Hours of 21st June 2015.

2- The Government of Republic of Maldives has allocated funds in the Annual Budget 2015 towards the cost of infrastructure development on Th. Thimarafushi, Maldives and intends to apply part of the proceeds under the contract, Design and Build Basis for Water Supply Network, Water Storage Tanks and Reverse Osmosis Plant and Allied Works based on Integrated Water Resources Management approach in Th. Thimarafushi, Maldives.

3- The Government of Maldives, represented by Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MOFT) on behalf of the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE), now invites sealed bids from the eligible bidders for the works given above.

4- Only listed members of the National Contractors Registry, who has been qualified for the UC03, Grade 1 or 2 will be eligible to participate for this tender.

5- The Bidder shall submit documentary evidence of no due payment to the Government of Maldives (Tax Clearance Report), obtained from Maldives Inland Revenue Authority. This document shall be dated no earlier than 5 (Five) days prior to the bid submission date.

6- The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of amount Maldivian Rufiyaa 130,000.00 (Hundred and Thirty Thousand Rufiyaa)which shall be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the Bid. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.

7- The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred) fromJune 4, 2015 to June 21, 2015between 0830hrs and 1430hrs, (between 1030hrs and 1330hrs during the Month of Ramadan) on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv

8- Bidders may obtain further information of the project from the following address, on or before 1400 hours, Monday, June 22,2015.

9- Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified above in Clause 5 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1400 hrs Maldivian Time on June 30, 2015 (Tuesday), at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend.
