REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Due to applications received (as per (IUL) 22-E/22/2018/150) not meeting the requirements, Ministry of Education re-invites interested parties to apply for the below 2 positions.

To promote employment and entrepreneurship of young people and to improve the quality of labor through human capital development, the Government of Maldives has requested the World Bank to fund a new project; “Enhancing Employment through Human Capital and Entrepreneurship Development” (EHCED) which will be prepared and administered by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Maldives. The World Bank Education group has already initiated the project identification process and it is expected that the Ministry of Education would start the project preparation activities. In order to work for a speedy and effective preparation process, MoE propose to set up a Project Preparation Unit (PPU).

As part of this project MoE seeks the following positions. 

Job Title: Senior Operations Officer (x1)

Duration: 09 months (negotiable)

Job Title: Senior Project Officer (x1)

Duration: 09 months (negotiable)

Expressions of Interest need to be submitted along with the CV, reference letters, validated documents supporting the candidate’s qualification and experience, and the copy of ID card/Passport on or before 11^th September 2018 (Tuesday), 13:00 pm for the above stated positions. The applications would not be processed if validated documents supporting the candidate’s qualification and experience are not submitted.

Terms of Reference

Duration of service

• The service is for a period of nine months or any other time frame agreed by both parties. The consultant will be hired as a specialist/consultant under the project. This is a lump sum contract and will be paid on completion of the assignment outputs in accordance with the agreed rate.
