Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI)

1. Introduction

State Trading Organization Plc. (the “STO”), Head Office in the capital city of Maldives, Male’, began operations in the year 1964 as a state- trader with the initial intent to have a central purchasing organization to raise living standards and encourage development in the country. Over the years STO has evolved from being a sole importer operating as a monopoly to a public listed company operating in a very dynamic and competitive environment.

2. Call for Expression of Interest

This document provides the general information for the submission of EOI, its assessment and eligibility criteria to submit written Expression of Interest (EOI) for: Design and Build landing crafts for STO.

The purpose of this EOI is to assist STO in the identification and evaluation of potential contractors who may subsequently be invited to tender or provide Proposals.

3. Submission Details

a) Expression of Interest with documents shall be emailed [email protected] or submitted by recorded delivery (official postal service) /hand delivered (including courier services) to the following address:

b) Queries should be sent via email to [email protected] on or before 19^th September 2017

2017, 1600hrs; to which replies shall be circulated by 20^th September 2017. 

c) The deadline for receipt of Expression of Interest is before 1400hrs (Maldives Time) on 26^th September 2017.
