Housing Development Finance Corporation PLC of Maldives (HDFCM) was incorporated as a state owned company in 2004. It was privatized in 2008 with equity injection from International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and HDFC Investments Ltd of India. The structure of the shareholding in the privatized HDFCM is as follows: •Government of the Maldives 49% •International Finance Corporation 18% • Asian Development Bank 18% •HDFC Investments Ltd. (India) 15%. HDFC is the only specialized housing finance institution in the Maldives providing finance for the housing needs of individuals and families. While the operating environment has become more competitive with the arrival of commercial banks in housing finance market, demand for home loans continue to grow and HDFC maintains a sizable market share.
Database and System Administrator will report to the Senior Manager IT:
The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after Management Information Systems and application development. The incumbent is expected to have excellent understanding of database systems, in particular Oracle Database administration, Linux environment, data protection and network security and maintenance of hardware to ensure smooth functioning of IT process of the organization to deliver optimum service to customers.
Required qualification and experience:
University Degree in IT/computing discipline
Min 2 year experience in Linux administration
Min 2 year experience in Windows administration
Min 2 year experience in Oracle application and DB Administration (11g and 12c)
Experience in web server management and MySql/Microsoft SQL Database
Experience in web development
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor MIS system
Control access permissions and privileges
Develop application and reports
Create and manage back-up and run test backup restoration
Develop and execute recovery plans
Database capacity planning
Develop database documentation (Standard Operating Procedures)
