Total Salary

  • Must be an IFAC (International Federations of Accountants) approved accountant, with 5 years of experience in finance & accounting roles and 3 years of experience in senior finance roles.  or
  • A master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification (MNQF level 9) in the field of Accounting or Finance with 7 years of experience in finance & accounting roles and 3 years in senior finance roles.
  • Candidates with qualifications from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) will be given priority.
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS, corporate financial law/ tax regulations and risk management practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial data analysis /budgeting / forecasting methods.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Required

  • Provide financial leadership by developing and implementing strategies aligned with the Company’s objectives and financial mandate.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure timely settlement of all financial obligations, including payments to fishermen and suppliers.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning, including preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and monitoring of financial performance.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and audit obligations.
  • Monitor and control costs, including major expenditure areas such as fish procurement, fuel, labour, and operational overheads.
  • Engage with Government authorities, including the Ministry of Finance, on matters relating to subsidies, financial support, and policy implementation.
  • Arrange and manage financing for the Company’s operational and capital requirements, including maintaining relationships with financial institutions.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls, financial systems, and report frameworks across all operational sites.
  • Identify and manage financial risks, including market fluctuations, cost volatility, and operational risks.
  • Lead and supervise the finance and account’s function, ensuring efficiency, accountability and professional standards.
  • Provide financial advice to Management and Board to support decision-making and long-term sustainability of the company.
