Recruitment for Finance Officer & Finance Executive (Head Office)

Position: Finance Officer 

No. of Vacancies. 01

Location: Regional Airports Company Ltd, Head Office, Velanaa International Airport

Duty Type: Sunday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00

Minimum Qualification and Experience 

Completed O’ Levels with 3 passes + 2 years of experience in the feild.


Responsibilities

  1. Prepare payment vouchers and maintain the payment voucher register.
  2. Update and maintain supplier and customer invoice registers.
  3. Assist in processing supplier invoices and verify supporting documents.
  4. Prepare customer invoices and actively follow up on outstanding receivables.
  5. Record financial transactions and assist in maintaining the general ledger.
  6. Manage and reconcile the department’s petty cash.
  7. Support bank reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
  8. Assist in updating and maintaining the fixed asset register.
  9. Assist in the preparation of management reports.
  10. Maintain proper filing and achieving of all financial documents and records.
  11. Perform general administrative tasks and any other duties as assigned by the Finance Department.

Duty Type: Sunday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00

 Minimum Qualifications and Experience 

Undergraduate Degree in a relevant Field + 3 years of experience in the field.

OR

Completed Diploma in a relevant field + 5 years of experience in the field.

OR

Completed O’ Levels + 10 years of experience.


 Additional Skills Required

Candidates with experience in ERP systems and QuickBooks will be given preference.


 Responsibilities

  1. Process supplier invoices and payments.
  2. Prepare customer invoices and actively follow up on outstanding receivables.
  3. Record financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger records.
  4. Perform bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
  5. Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
  6. Lead month-end closing procedures and ensure timely financial documentation.
  7. Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  8. Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  9. Coordinate and provide necessary assistance for internal and external audits.
  10. Undertake Head Cashier responsibilities as required.
  11. Contribute to the drafting and updating of finance policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  12. Perform administrative and other duties assigned by the Finance Department.
