Duty Type: Shift Duty 

Minimum Qualifications

• Completed O’ Levels with 3 passes
• Experience in Electrical, water and sewerage are preferred

Responsibilities

1. Regularly inspecting the backup power generators and examining the engine, fuel system, cooling system, electrical connections, control panels, and exhaust system.
2. Monitoring fuel levels, performing fuel quality checks, scheduling fuel deliveries as needed and managing the fuel supply.
3. Regular oil changing, fluid replacements, checking and maintaining proper oil levels, coolant levels, and other required fluids for the generator's performance and longevity.
4. Checking battery connections, cleaning terminals, and testing battery voltage to ensure proper operation and readiness.
5. Periodically testing the generator under load conditions to verify its capacity and performance to ensure it can handle the required power output.
6. Maintaining an emergency plan and conducting regular drills with the powerhouse staff to ensure everyone knows their roles and responsibilities during power outages or other emergencies.
7. Repair and troubleshooting in case of breakdowns or malfunctions.
8. Replacing faulty components, conducting electrical or mechanical repairs.
9. Maintaining up-to-date maintenance records including documenting inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, parts replacements, and any other relevant information to track the generator's performance, identify recurring issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
10. Maintenance of airport Visual Aids and Electrical systems including, changing spare parts, runway and taxiway lighting, power cables and distributors, regulators, control systems, distribution panel for AGL system and apron floodlighting.
11. Maintenance of airside signages and markers.
12. Reporting to the Maintenance supervisor.
