Chemicals Management Officer for the “Project Implementation Unit under National Ozone Unit”
The Ministry of Tourism and Environment has received funding from the Multilateral Fund (MLF) for the for the Implementation of the “Montreal Protocol on Substances that deplete the Ozone Layer” towards Institutional Strengthening of the National Ozone Unit, and intends to apply part of the proceeds to recruit a Chemicals Management Officer who will be responsible in strengthening the Chemicals Management Unit within the Environmental Management and Conservation Department, enhancing the national capacity for the sound management of hazardous chemicals in the Maldives and to strengthen government institutional capacity to implement the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions, the Minamata Convention, and the Global Framework on Chemicals.
The Ministry of Tourism and Environment invites interested eligible individuals to submit their application.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the position, the individual is expected to demonstrate the requirements as per the attached “Terms of Reference”.
