Assistant Cargo Handler (X 2)

Requirement / Qualifications:

• Completed Grade 7 or
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a related field. 

Employment Type:Contract (1 year)

Key responsibilities:

• Control access to the warehouse to ensure security and compliance
• Release all import cargo consignments according to the delivery note once all formalities as per the concerned authorities are completed.
• Log and maintain accurate records of all released cargo.
• Check and tally the cargo against the arrival documents and report any irregularities to the Officer.
• Assist in offloading all imported cargo and mail, inspect for any discrepancies and report it to the Officer.
• Handle heavy cargo packages
• Handle special cargo with care and store appropriately.
• Assist Officer in physical checking of cargo consignments and support security screening as per the screening procedures.
• Daily cleaning, checking and preventative maintenance of weighing scales, trolleys, cargo office and warehouse.
• Reporting any equipment faults and facility defects to the Duty Officer.
• Drive assigned vehicles to transport cargo between the Cargo Terminal and Passenger Terminal
• Any other cargo handling duties assigned by the Officers.

Skills and Attributes:

• Able to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.

Benefits

• Basic Salary: MVR 5,000/- 
• Service Allowance: MVR 3,450/- 
• Additional Benefits will be paid as per company policy.
