Assistant Electrician (*2)

Requirement / Qualifications:

• Completed advanced certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering / certificate 3 in electrician / certificate 3 in electro technical technology or 2 years of experience in electrical related field.
• Applicants should be within the age range of 20 to 40 years.

 Employment Type:  1 year Contract

Key responsibilities:

•  Assist in using appropriate safety equipment and following established safety procedures during all tasks.
•  Support in overseeing and handling electrical work, including assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
•  Aid in diagnosing electrical system malfunctions and locating causes of breakdowns using testing equipment.
•  Help inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, and compliance with local codes and standards.
•  Assist in testing electrical circuits for continuity, safety, and compatibility.
•  Support planning and executing the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on specifications.
• Collaborate with electrical staff to train and supervise junior team members.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and assist in ordering electrical supplies and equipment.
•  Exercise judgment in troubleshooting electrical issues and determining appropriate repair methods.
• Support routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety and functionality.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments.
• Report incidents and accidents promptly to prevent losses or damages.
• Assist during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators, and other emergency equipment.
• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical charts to support electrical repairs and maintenance.
•  Perform secondary duties related to refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including inspection, maintenance, and repairs as needed.

 Skills and Attributes:

• Previous experience supporting electrical and HVAC work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and charts.
• Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of manual tasks, operating tools, and working in various environments.
• Basic troubleshooting, testing, and diagnostic skills.
• Literacy in computer knowledge with familiarity in Microsoft office, applications, internet browsers and email is an added advantage.
• Ability to maintain accurate records

 Benefits:

• Basic Salary: MVR 6,080/- 
• Service Allowance: 3,450/-
• Overtime Pay will be paid as per company policy.
