The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Transforming Fisheries Sector Management in South- West Indian Ocean Region and Maldives Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under Consulting Services. The consulting services required is to hire an Individual Consultant for “Fisheries Management Consultant”.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources now invites eligible consultants to submit expression of interest and proposals. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The criteria are:

• The consultant should have at least a Master’s Degree in Fisheries Science, Fisheries Resources Management, Marine Sciences, or of a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in Fisheries Resources Management or having past experience working on similar Fisheries Resources Management projects funded by International Donors.
  • Fluency in English and Dhivehi language
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
