1. The Government of Maldives has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives; Atolls Education Development Project (AEDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
2. The consulting services (“the Services”) includes all the tasks related to the Institutional Capacity Building on Assistive Technology for Teaching Students with Complex Learning Profiles (National Consultant). The assignment is to be for 03 Days.
3. The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment can be obtained at the address given below.
4. The Ministry of Education now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The selection criteria are:
- Minimum Master’s Degree in Assistive Technology/Information Technology in Education or Related Field. (Yes/No)
- At Least 5 Years of Teaching Experience in Schools/Colleges Related to Assistive technology or related field. (Yes/No)
- At Least 5 Years of Experience in Developing Policies and Programs Related to Assistive Technology. (Yes/No)
- Bachelors’ Degree in Assistive Technology/Information Technology in Education or Related Field. (10 Points)
- PhD in Qualification Related to Assistive Technology. (10 Points)
- Undertaken Similar Activities/Consultation in the Maldives, each successful activity will be awarded 5 points. (Total 10 Points)
5. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
6. A Consultant will be selected based on the EOI submitted.
7. Further information can be obtained at the address below during office hours 0900 to 1300 hours on or before 27th August 2024.
8. Expressions of interest must be delivered in a written form to the address below (by e-mail/post) by 28th August 2024 (Wednesday) 1200 hours (local time).
