1.      The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources(MFOR) is implementing Transforming Fisheries Sector Management in South-West Indian Ocean Region and Maldives Project financed by the World Bank and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Echo Sounders with Tracking Devices on Anchored Fish Aggregating Devices (AFAD), Satellite Communication and Comprehensive Maintenance for 6 years.

2.      The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply, Delivery and Maintenance of the specified goods and services in the bidding document.

3.      Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing - Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, November 2020 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4.      Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information by writing to [email protected], and inspect the bidding document on or before 15^th September 2024, 12:00 Maldives Time.

5.      Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22^nd September 2024, 11:00 Hours Maldives Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 22^nd September 2024, 11:00 Hours Maldives Time.

6.      All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MVR 50,000.00 or USD 3,243.00.
