Introduction

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is an ISO and OHSAS Certified multi-disciplinary Engineering and Manufacturing organization mainly involves in providing Utility and Manufacturing related products and services to the Maldives.

The Announcement No. (MWSC-L/3/ADV/2023/20) published on 28th April 2023 is hereby cancelled due to no response received within the specified submission deadline. As such, we have decided to re-invite Eligible and interested bidders to apply based on the following information.

Scope of Work

MWSC Marine 1

• Sand Blasting the whole vessel hull inside and outside and bottom.
• Painting the whole outside of the wheelhouse and bridge.
• Painting the whole vessel including the sides, bottom, inside the deck area and deck.
• Sandblasting, Cleaning and painting all the fresh water tanks- applying special cement or paint in water tanks to prevent rust.
• Diesel tank outlet pipe extension till 1 feet from the tank bottom.
• Renewal of 2 ladders and complete railing of the 2 arms and complete railing of the bridge
• Renewal of vessel deck using hardwood.
• Wheel system bush replacements
• Replace the bush and cutless bearings
• Winch Gear service/repair
• Installation of Anodes (Anodes will be provided by MWSC)
• Fresh water tank pipeline change to HPVC pipes

• Repair of full 2 side arms of the vessel using same thickness metal – completion includes installation, welding works and painting.
• Fresh water tank pipeline change to HPVC pipes
• Renewal of ramp pins

Note: One vessel at a time should be docked. Any Bid submission with a plan to dock two vessels at the same time will be rejected.

Qualification Information & Requirement

Interested and competent contractors wishing to carry out the above project must submit the following documents.

• Business Registration Certificate at Economic Ministry
• Mira Tax Clearance (within 6 months)
• GST Registration
• The vendor must have their own dockyard and should not be out sourced to a third party.
• Vendor must have been in service of docking for at least 5 years.
• Vendor must provide MWSC officials access to dockyard at any time for inspections.
• Vendor must take responsibility for any damages caused to any of our vessels, staffs or equipment due to vendor’s negligence or carelessness.
• Vendor must be able to provide Electricity, Fresh water and Sewerage connection to the docked vessel
• Vendor must possess all equipment’s and machineries required to attend the repair works mentioned in the scope of work.

• While painting the following coating must be applied.

a)      Primer red oxide – 2 layer

b)      Tigh coat – 1 layer

c)      Anti-fouling – 2 layer

d)      Finishing paint - 2 layer

• Colour codes to apply for the finishing paint layer will be selected by MWSC.
• Primer, Anti-fouling and Finishing paint must be selected from ‘SIGMA’ brand of paint.
• Apart from above, contractors may submit any documents, information that may be necessary to prove their qualification for the work.

Those who wish to participate in the tender must pay a non-refundable participation fee of MVR 500. Interested candidates shall register for the tender through MWSC website https://www.mwsc.com.mv/tenders and fill out the tender form to proceed with the payment for registration. Payment must be made on or before 24^th July 2024.

Each bidder shall furnish a bid security in the amount of MVR 10,000/-. Successful bidder shall furnish to the Employer a performance Bank Guarantee in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract sum within Fourteen (14) days of receipt of the notification of award from the Employer.
