INVITATION FOR BIDS

Construction of 31 Island Indoor Sports Arenas.

1- The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Youth and Sports (the Employer), invites bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Construction of 31 Island Indoor Sports Arenas.

2- The bidder shall be a listed member of the National Contractors Registry and shall satisfy the following grades in order to be eligible to participate in this tender.

GC01-1, GC01-2.

3- The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred)from05^th May 2015 to 18^th May 2015between 0830hrs and 1400hrs on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv

4- The Bidder shall submit a Tax Clearance Report obtained from Maldives Inland Revenue Authority. This document shall be dated no earlier than 5 (Five) days prior to the bid submission date.

5- The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 150,000.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Hundred and Fifty Thousand) which shall be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the Bid. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.

6- A pre-bid meeting will be held on 19^th May 2015 at 1000hrs Maldivian time at the Tender Evaluation Section Meeting Room of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury.

7- Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified in Clause 8 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1000hrs Maldivian Time on 28^th May 2015, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
