Key Responsibilities

-          Responsible for the maintenance and operation of all machinery onboard.

-          Maintaining an awareness of the correct procedures as outlined in Company’s Policies and Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental System within his department.

-          Keeping the Master informed of all matters related to the vessel’s machinery and electrical installations.

-          Ensuring that the ship’s Drawings and Plans and Instruction Manuals for machinery are correct, up to date and correctly filed.

-          Ensure all Critical Spares are onboard at all times including cargo hold temperature maintenance equipment spares.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Required

-          Valid and updated Foreign going certificates including Seaman certificate, CDC, GMDSS and PP.

-          Minimum 3 years of experience in a foreign going vessel.

-          Should be physically fit to work on board.

-          Should be fluent in English written and Oral.
