Request for Expression of Interest

 Sports Consultant

The government of the Maldives recognizes the importance of promoting sports to improve the overall health and well-being of its citizens, as well as elevate sports excellence and national pride.

The Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation (MoSFR) wishes to extend this invitation to professional consultancy services for the development of a comprehensive plan that will address the current challenges faced by the sports industry in the country and identify opportunities for growth and development. This plan should include an assessment of existing infrastructure, training programs for athletes and coaches, and collaborations with national and international sporting bodies.

The Ministry intends to contract the expertise of a sports consultant in alignment with the implementation of the aforementioned comprehensive plan for sports development.

The objective of this assignment

 MoSFR is seeking professional consultancy to develop a sports strategic action plan. This scope of service involves engaging experienced professionals who possess extensive knowledge in various facets of sports development, such as infrastructure, human resource development, facility management, and marketing strategies.

The consultant plays a vital role in assisting the MoSFR in formulating effective policies and plans that are aligned with international standards and best practices. Additionally, consultants provide valuable advice on developing grassroots programs to encourage youth participation in sports, fostering a culture of fitness and well-being throughout society. The scope of this service is comprehensive and multifaceted, requiring individuals with a deep understanding of both global trends in sports development and local needs and preferences. Ultimately, seeking professional consultancy paves the way for sustainable growth in sports across all levels while elevating the nation's standing on an international platform.
