The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received grant funds from the World Bank, towards the cost of Accelerating Renewable Energy Integration and Sustainable Energy (ARISE) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under the contract for the services of a Procurement Specialist for the Project Management Unit (PMU).

The Ministry invites interested eligible individuals to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI). Interested individuals must provide their CV with information demonstrating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.) covering the Key Qualifications.

The key qualifications are:

• Minimum a Master’s Degree in Procurement Management (or related a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics and Transportation and Finance and Accounting); and
• Minimum 7 (seven) year’s general work experience with 3 (three) year’s specific experience in procurement related field.

OR

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement Management (or related a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics and Transportation and Finance and Accounting); and
• Minimum 10 (ten) year’s general work experience with 5 (five) year’s specific experience in procurement related field.

Successful candidate will be paid a monthly remuneration within the range of MVR 27,800/- to 38,600/- depending on qualification and experience. The individual for this position will be hired, initially for a period of Twelve (12) months on fulltime basis and may be extended for a further period, based on need and performance.

The Contractor will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in The World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers; Procurement in Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services; July 2016; Revised November 2017 and August 2018.
