1. The Ministry of Higher Education has received has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Machinery and Equipment for Marine Engineering Workshops at Ha. Atoll Technical Institute (Ha. Dhidhdhoo) and R. Atoll Technical Institute (R. Alifushi)

2. The Ministry of Higher Education now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Machinery and Equipment for Marine Engineering Workshop at Ha. Atoll Technical Institute (Ha. Dhidhdhoo) and R. Atoll Technical Institute (R. Alifushi) to be completed latest within 40 days after contract sign.

3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ms. Afaaf Mohamed Saeed Senior Procurement Specialist, Email: [email protected] and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0800 – 1400 until 12^th October, 2023 (Thursday) 1400 Hoursat the address given below

5. Information session will be held at Ministry of Higher Education on 10^th October 2023 (Tuesday) at 1100 Hours. Bids of parties who do not attend this information session will be accepted.

6. The bidding document in English can be downloaded by interested Bidders from the gazette page free of charge as well as upon the submission of a written application to the address below.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22^nd October 2023 (Sunday) 13:00 Hours Maldivian Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 22^nd October 2023 (Sunday) 13:00 Hours Maldivian Time.
