Leasing of Two Tourist Representative Counters at VIA

The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) operating the Velana International Airport (VIA) wishes to lease 2 (two) vacant Tourist Representative Counters (TRC) at the VIA International Terminal to interested parties. The winning parties are required to operate the respective TRC on their own in accordance with MACL guidelines and instructions.

Interested parties shall register in the bidding by an expression of interest by post, fax or email ([email protected]) on or before 1030hrs of 23^rd August 2023, Wednesday. The registering party shall provide their full legal name, address and contact details in order to be registered. The Tender Document will be shared with all the Registered Parties via email upon Registration period end.

The interested parties shall be a business entity that is licensed under the Ministry of Tourism to operate a “Resort”.  Business entities already having a TRC will not be eligible for bidding.

Bids in compliance with the details and requirements stated in the Tender Document shall be submitted in envelopes and shall be delivered to the address in the Tender Document on or before 1030hrs of 31^st August 2023, Thursday. Late bids will be rejected.

The bid from each bidder will be opened at 1030hrs of 31^st August 2023, Thursday, in MACL Corporate Office Building at VIA, in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend.

A ballot will be taken among all eligible bidders to allocate the respective TRCs in accordance with the submitted bids. The ballot session/meeting will be held on 1030hrs of 5^th September 2023, Tuesday, in MACL Corporate Office Building at VIA, in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend.
