At the end of this program, graduates will be able to:

Produce appropriate Prosthetic and Orthotic devices based on an individual’s clinical case presentation

Perform comprehensive patient care with well-round knowledge in interdisciplinary team approach

Work with ethical behavior within essential legal framework and cultural appropriateness

Propose optimal clinical intervention based on individual client need

Communicate effectively and efficiently in the Rehabilitation services network

Manage clinical case load independently with adequate knowledge/skills on evidence based practice, critical thinking, clinical reasoning ability and professional development approach

Develop researches relating to disabilities and development in order to enhance the evidence base knowledge and practice

Disseminate knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic profession and practice within the Allied Health Professions

Adapt clinical practice to applicable legal framework in professional manner, financial or commercial feasibility

Construct and support the delivery of professional development plan for rehabilitation team members

Selection Criteria:

Pass Entrance Examination and Medical Check

Pass English Written Examination
-
Pass the interview
-

Long term and strong commitment and motivation to work as a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician, especially in working with for people with disabilities.
The applicant who gets the highest score from the interview will be selected for the training

Bond
|
- As per the training policy, since the candidate will be sent abroad under a fully paid scholarship, there shall be a bond of 3 years in which the candidate shall work at Hulhumale’ Hospital
