Prison Cooperative Society (PRISCO) is a cooperative society who provides welfare services to all staffs of Maldives correctional service and also provides goods to inmates in prisons which are requested by Maldives Correctional Services. Along with that PRISCO has also engaged in few mega projects of government. PRISCO intends to audit their business and are applying for the following professional and consulting services.

The professional and consulting services includes to carry out an external audit to express an independent professional opinion on the financial position of PRISCO and to ensure that the funds utilized to PRISCO’s activities have been used for their intended purposes. Along with that also to ensure that proper books of accounts as required by law have been maintained by PRISCO and also maintain adequate internal controls and supporting documentation for the transaction

Completion period is 1 month after the contract signing date.

Prison Cooperative Society (PRISCO), now invites eligible Audit firms (“Auditors”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Auditors should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

The shortlisting criteria are: (i) The Firm must have minimum of Three (3) Years of experience working in the field of External Audit (Provide documentary evidence of such assignments and experience), (ii) Must be a Firm (Audit Firm) Registered in the Maldives (Provide copy of the Certificate of Registration) (iii) The Firm must have a valid “Practicing Certificate” issued by the Auditor General of the Maldives (Provide copy of the Certificate).

Successful Proposers will require each of the personnel in the Team proposed by the Firm for this Service to sign a Commitment Letter indicating His/Her acceptance of the assignment for this Audit Service according to the TOR.

Auditors may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-Firm. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.

The Auditor will be selected through a board meeting where the members of the board will overview the applied auditors and choose any one amongst them.
