Minimum Qualification & Experience

- First degree in Civil Engineering or related field, accredited by Ministry of Planning and Development.
- Registration/Licensure as a Professional Engineer may be required.
- A minimum of five years’ industry knowledge required.
- Familiarity with design software, such as Autodesk, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.

Responsibilities
|
- Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain all construction projects of RACL in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
- Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Visit project sites periodically and report back on the status of on-site activities to the Project Director/Consultant.
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
- Prepare progress reports, quarterly reports, and updates in a timely manner.
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
- Participate in document review, evaluation and other relevant committees that may be formed as projects require.
- Oversee and mentor staff to ensure that team members carry out tasks outlined in their TOR, Action plans in a timely manner, conduct staff appraisal and provide feedback.
- Liaise with all stakeholders, Advisors and Coordinators to ensure timely and coordinated implementation of project activities and relevant stakeholder activities
- Manage budget and carry out operational management in line with Financing Agreements, Project Appraisal Documents and Operations manuals.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
- Ensure all processes and procedures detailed in the operations manuals are fully implemented and complied with.
- Interact with the financial, procurement and technical staff of RACL, wherever relevant to enable smooth implementation.
- Coordinate among the stakeholders including the city Councils, Contractors, and engineers in resolving various issues that come up during the implementation.
- Provide monthly progress reports and other documentation requested by the Managing Director for review and/or for presentation to Project/Technical meetings, donor review missions or by other relevant authorities of the Government in a timely manner.
- Ensure information, reports and other documentation requested by the Project Consultant/Director for review and/or for presentation to Project Board are provided in a timely manner.
