Local Government Authority is opening limited vacancies for locals and foreigners to work as interns and learn about the local governance system in the Maldives.

It is for tertiary level students and graduates, offering them actual working environments in which they will acquire skills and work experience in the Local Government Authority and Local Councils, complementary to theoretical, classroom-based learning. Our target groups are:

• University students
• Graduates from Higher Education and Training institutions
• High-school leavers

The minimum internship term shall be for a period of 3 months and shall not exceed 18 months. The intern shall work full time for the duration of the internship. Interns are responsible to arrange and bear the cost of travel, accommodation, food and other expenses.

Desired Qualification and Experience;

We are seeking self-motivated team players. Ideal candidates will be in early stages of their careers.

• The potential intern must be working towards higher studies in HR/Management/ Business/Marketing/Finance/Legal/Customer Relation…etc.
• Computer literate
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills
