Call for Expression of Interest for Partnering with Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture in a Mariculture Joint Venture Company

Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture (MOFA) is soliciting Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified parties to form a mariculture joint venture company with MOFA. The joint venture company will construct a commercial multi-species hatchery and operate it on a long-term basis. The construction and operation of the hatchery   is a component of mariculture Enterprise Development Project being implemented by the Government of Maldives and International Fund for Agricultural Development.

The objectives of the joint venture company are to make profit by implementing mariculture projects, facilitate participation of other companies and communities in mariculture, facilitate participation of small entrepreneurs along the mariculture value chain, provide employment opportunities and promote mariculture development in the Maldives.

Individual entrepreneurs, local companies and foreign companies registered in Maldives are invited to submit hard copies of EOI before 1500 hrs of 06^th November 2014 to:
