INVITATION FOR BIDS

Subject: Construction of 16 classrooms and Hall Building at Sh. Funadhoo School (Third-tender)

1.  The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Education (the Employer) cancels the bids submitted for the subjected project (Ref No. (IUL) 13-K/13/2014/239) and now re-invites bids from local and foreign Contractors for the Construction of 16 classrooms and Hall Building at Sh. Funadhoo School.

2.  Commencing on 1st April 2014, only a listed member of the National Contractors Registry will be eligible to participate in this tender. Only the contractors who has been qualified for GC01 grade 1,2 and 3 will be eligible to participate for this tender.

3. The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Maldivian Rufiyaa) which shall be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the Bid.  The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.

4.  Tender Documents for the project may be obtained from Tender Evaluation Section of Ministry of Finance and Treasury, from 29^th September 2014 to 12^th October 2014 between 1030 hrs and 1330 hrs on all working days, upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 500.00 (Five Hundred).

5. Any clarifications to the bid may be sent to [email protected] on or before 2nd October 2014, Thursday at 1200 hours.

6. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified above in Clause 3 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1100 hrs Maldivian time on 13th October 2014 (Monday), at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend.
