Responsibility:

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and programs for patients suspected of having mental disorders
• Prepare patient health reports & consult with the patient’s Primary Care Physician, Nurses or other health care providers
• Preparing assessment reports through interviews, observation, Tests and medical history reviews.
• Regularly following up with the patient to check progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed while thoroughly documenting each patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medication, treatment effectiveness.
• Prescribing medications and providing technical support and expertise to all matters related to the patients
• Attending on call duty
• Promoting mental well-being and awareness within prison setting

Minimum Qualification

• Completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and 1 year of internship from a teaching hospital, accepted by Maldives medical and dental council. Completed MD/MS in psychiatry accepted by Maldives medical and dental council and with practicing license and having more than03years of work experience as a specialist
• Age 18-45 years
• A person with no criminal records
