Maldives Airports Company Limited is seeking to recruit talented and qualified individual for the position of Chief Account, Financial Reporting & Compliance. The successful candidate will be accountable to ensure adequate accounting and reporting standards including internal controls and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal directives are followed in preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and ensure timely preparation of required financial reports, preparation of the annual financial statements, and preparation of Directors Report annually.

• Ensure adequate accounting and reporting standards are followed
• Ensure relevant accounting policies are implemented
• Ensure reconciliations are performed for different ledger accounts, passing any necessary journal entries and timely closing of accounts
• Provide guidance on preparing tax computations and review those.
• Review and ensure that all the required tax returns are filed, and payments are made on time

Qualification & Experience

Essential

• Master’s Degree in a related field ormembership in a professional accountancy body qualified by IFAC.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a related field, including 5 years’ experience in a management role.

Preferred

• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification work experience in Financial Reporting
• Knowledge of Maldives Tax Laws/Regulations with experience in tax computation.
