COMMUNICATION OFFICER (CO)

As Qualified proposals were not submitted by the deadline in the previous announcement, Ref No: (IUL)438-GCF/438/2020/327 dated, we would like to cancel the previous announcement and re-invite interested eligible consultants to submit their Proposals

The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology (MECT) is implementing “Water Supply Systems” financed by Green Climate Fund (GCF) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the services of a full time Communication Officer (CO) to assist the water projects administered by the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology in collaboration with United Nations Development Project (UNDP).

The objective of this assignment includes setting up the communication strategy and framework of the project to ensure all the work carried out through the project including information and data collected in the field are captured, documented, analyzed and reported in a results-based and timely manner for the Government, Donors, UNDP and internal purposes smoothly and on time.

The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit their application letter, CV, including information that demonstrates their qualification to perform the services (description of similar assignments and experience in similar conditions, familiarity with appropriate skills, reference, education certificates and national identity card/passport copy etc).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the position the individual is expected to demonstrate the requirements as per the attached ‘Terms of Reference”

Schedule for the Assignment

Duration of the assignment is 08 months from the commencement of the works. The successful candidate is expected to commence the services in February 2022.

Renumeration

Successful individual will be paid an all-inclusive monthly fee of MVR 28,800.00

-          Sample or Portfolio of Previous works (As a presentation for shortlisted candidates)

-          Candidates currently working in the Civil Service should provide a letter of no objection from their current employer.

Note: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit sample Portfolio of Previous works in an Interview presentation format.
