JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the functional affairs of the finance department including, but not limited to:
- Monitoring monthly closings and ensuring that closings are completed before 10th of every month
- Prepare management accounts periodically
- Prepare financial statements (interim and annual) in accordance with the IFRS
- Ensure filing of tax returns accordingly
- Ensure submission of compliance reports including publication of regulatory reports
- Assist the finance team to manage finance department in a most efficient and effective manner including effective implementation of ERP
- Assist head of finance to prepare the company’s Business Plan and Budget
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate should possess a minimum qualification of Degree in Accounting and/or part qualification of ACCA or a similar professional accounting body
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar field
- Proficient in verbal and written communication both in Dhivehi and English
- Must be reliable, dependable, eye for detail and be able thrive under pressure
