Basic Salary:

Master’s Degree (MNQF Level 9) with a Bachelor’s Degree (MNQF Level 7) or higher certificate in the related field.

Note: Where a Master’s Degree is not present, for candidates who hold a Bachelor’s Degree and higher-level Certificates, the duration of both Certificates should exceed minimum 4 years full-time equivalent Credits (480 Credits as per MNQF standards) achieved can be considered.

Additional entry criteria;

  1. Completed Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field from a recognized university.
  2. At least five (5) years of relevant experience.
  3. Good knowledge and experience in the methods of procurement of goods, works and acquisition of services.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Educational Background:  

  • Take on the responsibilities of a course coordinator.
  • Fully engage in subject coordination of the subjects taught.
  • Develop, conduct and coordinate short term workshops in the field of procurement, logistics and supply chain management.
  • Teach in courses and training workshops conducted by the University per the assigned workload and the schedules.             
  • Prepare and develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and conduct lectures, tutorials and workshops, seminars according to the course syllabus.
  • Setup and update Self Service and Moodle pages of the subjects assigned before study term begins.
  • Prepare, review, and assess student’s course work, invigilate and mark assessment components per schedule.
  • Conduct assessments in the procurement and logistics field to identify training needs for developing new courses and curriculums (with local context).
  • Attend student emails regularly provide consultation sessions for students outside teaching hours. 
  • Work to improve the quality of education and maintain academic standards.
  • Proactively work to improve skills needed for the job through self-development and by taking part in workshops organised by the University.
  • Participate in meetings conducted at Faculty and University level and provide contributions
  • Participate in activities and events organised by the Faculty and the University.
  • Support and contribute to activities carried out for the development of the Faculty and the University.
  • Maintain good collegial relationships with all staff and show good teamwork, work ethics and professionalism.
  • Carry out other assigned responsibilities related to the job description of a lecturer besides the responsibilities mentioned above, such as assessing, marking and moderating and any other related activity for academic staff of the university.
