ANNOUNCEMENT

The following amendment is made to the Bidding Document for the Lease, Development, Operation and Management of Tourist Resorts pursuant to the Invitation for Bids (IFB) number (IUL)88-PS/88/2021/36 dated 14th April 2021 and Instruction to Bidders (ITB).

Considering the restrictions set forth globally due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Tourism hereby announces an extension to the Bid Closing Date, till 24th June 2021. As such, the last date to obtain further information and to purchase the Bidding Documents will now be 20th June 2021.

Hence, the following Clauses are to be amended as below:

a) Clause 11 of the IFB:

“Interested parties may obtain further information and purchase the Bidding Documents from 14th April 2021 up to the 20th June 2021, between 09:00hrs to 12:30 hrs, at the following address, or online, via e-mail to [email protected] pursuant to the announcement number (IUL)88-PS/88/2021/43 dated 6th May 2021.”

b) Clause 20 of the IFB:

“Bids must be delivered before 10:00 hrs on Thursday, 24th June 2021 to the address in IFB Clause 11 or any other venue that the Ministry may announce.”

c) Clause 21 of the IFB:

“Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend the event at 10:00 hrs on Thursday, 24th June 2021 at the office of the Ministry, or at any other venue that the Ministry may announce.”

d) Clause 15.2 (b) of the ITB:

The envelope shall:

b) bear the name “Bid for the lease of the “Island name” Republic of Maldives to develop, operate and manage of a Tourist Resort”, and the statement; “DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 10:00 hrs on Thursday, 24th June 2021” to be completed with the Bid Closing Time and the Bid Closing Date.
