Advertisement: Consultancy service for formulation of design criteria and technical specifications for designing drainage and flood management systems in the Maldives using Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) and Manage Aquifer Recharge (MAR) principles

The Government of Maldives has received a grant from Green Climate Fund (GCF) for the project “Supporting vulnerable communities in Maldives to manage climate change-induced water shortages”, which is being jointly implemented by the Government of Maldives and UNDP. Through this project safe and adequate water supply systems will be developed in 49 islands by means Integrated Water Supply Network and Rainwater Harvesting Systems. Apart from the infrastructure components, the project also focuses on strengthening the water and sanitation sector.

In this regard, that the Ministry of Environment through the Green Climate Fund project “Support vulnerable communities in Maldives to manage climate change-induced water shortages”. The Government intends to apply part of the proceeds towards procuring the services of Consultancy service for formulation of design criteria and technical specifications for designing drainage and flood management systems in the Maldives using Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) and Manage Aquifer Recharge (MAR) principles

Registration and Clarifications

The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon submission of a written application to the email address [email protected] not later than 1200 hours on 23^rd May 2021. Unregistered parties will not be able to participate in the bid.

Any clarifications to the bid may be sent to  the email addresses [email protected] on or before 1400 hours on 23^rd May, 2021.

Bid Validity and Bid Opening

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days from the date of bid opening and applications must be delivered in sealed envelopes titled “Consultancy service for formulation of design criteria and technical specifications for designing drainage and flood management systems in the Maldives using Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) and Manage Aquifer Recharge (MAR) principles” on or before 1100hrs on 27^th May 2021, to the below address. Electronic bidding is not accepted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives, who choose to attend in person at the address below on 1100hrs on 27^th May 2021.
