Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is an ISO and OHSAS Certified multi-disciplinary Engineering and Manufacturing organization mainly involves in providing Utility and Manufacturing related products and services to the Maldives.

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is desirous in employing a Contractor for the work Supply and Delivery of Materials and Equipment required for Water, Sewer & Fire systems under taken by the company under Contractor Finance Model.

Scope of Supply

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. is desirous in employing a CONTRACTOR for the work Supply and Delivery of Materials for MWSC Water, Sewer projects & Fire Systems. The scope of supply includes;

• The supplier shall deliver the materials that meets the requirement of MWSC for its intended purpose.
• The supplier must supply all necessary resources for handling, loading and transporting the materials to the site or sites requested by MWSC within the given schedule.
• Site refers to the islands and supplier must deliver the material to the specific locations instructed by MWSC. It is supplier’s responsibility to check the conditions and accessibility of the site/port.
• It is supplier’s responsibility for applying for permits and approvals and MWSC can assist where any assistant required by the supplier.
• Supplier shall ensure that all Material supplied under this Agreement are consigned to MWSC and arrange the custom clearance and transportation to the Site for all the consigned Material.
• Supplier be responsible for all taxes, stamp duties, license fees and other such levies imposed outside and inside the Republic of Maldives, with the exception of any import duty imposed in the Republic of Maldives.
• MWSC shall pay or arrange duty exemption for all Materials imported pursuant to and for the purpose of this Agreement and waive off import duty on such material provided that all such materials are consigned to MWSC. Import duty on any supplies not consigned to MWSC shall be borne by the Supplier.

In consideration for supplying the Materials in accordance with the Scope of Supply, MWSC will pay the Charges in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

Prequalification requirement

Interested and competent contractors wishing to carry out the above project must submit the following documents with the Expression of Interest under Contractor Finance.

• Mira Tax Clearance (within 6 months)
• GST Registration
• Proposed management team, with CV’s of key personnel to be deployed on the project.
• Evidence of successfully executing projects within the last 7 years, similar in scope and complexity and costing no less than US$ 15 Million (Fifteen Million United States Dollar) to the Maldives.
• Evidence of a credit line of a Minimum US$ 10 Million from a reputable Bank/Banks.
• Proposed method statement for the execution of the project
• Audited Financial Statement for the past 7 years.
• Apart from above, contractors may submit any documents, information that may be necessary to prove their qualification for the work.

Submission

Application for the Expression of Interest, accompanied by the above listed documents should be forwarded in sealed envelope boldly marked at the top left corner.

1)      This is not an invitation to tender. Full tendering procedure will be applied to contractors prequalified and found capable of executing the project.
