Network Design Engineer

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT

1. Degree or MNQF Level 7 Qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Telecom Engineering with minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant field. (OR)
2. Advanced Diploma or MNQF Level 6 Qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Telecom Engineering with minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant field.

OVERALL SCOPE
The network design engineer will be responsible for planning and designing of all upcoming telecom network infrastructures and reporting to head of Networks.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Formulate strategies to achieve the strategic objectives defined in the company’s Strategic Action Plan.
• Manage all related activities for expansion or modification of existing network facilities (GPON or FTTH, Datacenter, Cellular tower).
• Requires knowledge and experience in structural analysis and cellular antenna system designs for rooftops and tower installations.
• Provide technical support during construction or operations activities at network locations.
• Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients relating to the field.
• Ensure the site quality meet the needed quality within the agreed SLA.
• Prepares detailed network designs and installation drawings, estimates labor, and material costs.
• Able to design both high-level and low-level network design for GPON or FTTH, Datacenter, telecom tower and back-up power systems.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• Proven experience in similar field.
• Proven experience in Project management experience.
• Good knowledge in AutoCAD and other related softwares.
• Experience in planning, engineering and new construction or expansion of telecommunications structures, buildings, systems.
• Knowledge of OSP.
• Ability to prepare of As-Built Drawing.
• Leadership and Management skills.
• Experience in project management will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Packages.
• Should be able to priorities tasks and manage one's own time effectively.

SALARY PACKAGE:

Salary negotiable based on qualification and experience.
