Salary

  • Net Salary Range: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place across the company’s businesses. This includes but is not limited to Group Reporting, Treasury and Cash Management, Debt Facilities, Financial Risk Management and Audits, Tax Compliance, Insurance, Contract Management and Terms of Trade & Accounting Projects and Analysis. 
  • Maximize return on investment funds by identifying investment opportunities.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly/yearly financial statements.
  • Maintain all the necessary reporting to the banks and backup system reports.
  • Approve invoices that need to be paid.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Coordinate with the auditors and be prepared to surrender documentation if called upon.
  • Implement operational best practices.
  • Maintain the integrity and compliance of corporate governance policies
  • and related documents.
  • Ensure being on call beyond working hours to troubleshoot any urgent matter in office.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or MNQF Level 9 qualification in Accounting & Finance and/or a member of CPA / CIMA / ACCA with 3+ years of experience in a managerial accounting position;

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree or MNQF Level 8 qualification in Accounting & Finance and/or a member of CPA / CIMA / ACCA with 5+ years of experience in a managerial accounting position;

Preference will be given to candidates with a professional accounting qualification.

Preferred Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, possess good communication and organizational skill.
  • Fluent in Dhivehi/English both written and spoken.
  • Excellent management skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software / Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Able to work independently and willing to work long hours.
  • Preferably, candidate must be able to commence work immediately.
  • Positive working attitude and a good team player.
